I was not fired from Honest Bunch Podcast – Nedu states what happened

Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu, has addressed his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast.

The actor recently left the podcast following a controversy over a recent episode that featured reality TV star Deeone. In the episode, Deeone claimed that social media critic VeryDarkMan was attracted to men.

In response, VDM accused Nedu of being behind the allegations, stating that Nedu had been persistently asking him to appear on the podcast since 2024 and had even offered to buy him a car as an incentive.

After these counter-accusations, Nedu announced his exit from the podcast.

This led to rumors that he had been fired by the show’s producers.

However, during a press briefing in Lagos, Nedu cleared the air, stating that he was not fired, as some media outlets had speculated.

He clarified that he made the decision to leave due to personal attacks.

“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on,” he said.
