I was shot by the police – Music producer, Adey claims

Adegboyega Ikwue Ogunlesi, popularly known by his stage as Adey, is an Afrobeats producer who has stated that he was shot at when interacting with Nigerian police officers in Lagos.

The officers who shot at him said he attempted to kill them on the roadway, he said. He said the officers grabbed the steering wheel and steered him into a ditch, almost damaging his car.

On his X handle, he wrote, “Nigerian police shot at me today, claimed I tried to kill them, and almost totalled my car by grabbing the steering wheel and driving me into a ditch.

“No wahala.”
