In an interview with The Vanguard correspondent, erstwhile political ally of former President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima, laments the fact that everyone in the governance of the nation is more focused on themselves than the people they vowed to serve.

In response to the assertion that the northern area is dissatisfied with Tinubu and the APC government, he said that it was simple to gauge public opinion through newspapers and social media, where people’s responses showed their emotions.

He inquired as to if anyone had checked social media to observe the reactions to the invitation that the Inspector General of Police had sent to Emir Sanusi. He emphasized that the Kano scenario was a reflection of the general dissatisfaction of the people.

He said, “If all of us come out, they will all run away including the IGP and the defence corps. They will run, tell them I said so. They have nothing, they have only one life. The gun which the police and military are carrying is something anyone can buy in the market now.”

In addition, he expressed his opinion that it would be unfathomable for the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to ever call the Oba of Lagos regarding an occurrence that the traditional ruler was unaware of.

He stated that everyone engaged in the matter was fully aware of what had transpired, who was at fault, and who had met with whom to reach a decision.

He asserted that the IGP was merely carrying out orders that shouldn’t have been carried out and was operating in accordance with an illegal directive.

He asked the IGP to remember General Theophilus Danjuma’s remarks after the Gideon Orkar coup, in which Danjuma said that the military was not required to implement unlawful orders.
