Matthew Iduoriyekemwen, who served as the Director General of the Asue/Ogie Campaign Council during the Edo State gubernatorial election last year, has resigned from the PDP.
Iduoriyekemwen resigned a few days after warning the party not to run in the by-election scheduled for next month to fill the seats in the Ovia Federal Constituency and the Edo Central Senatorial District.
Iduoriyekewen resigned, citing recent developments at the state and national levels of the party, in a letter to the PDP Chairman of Ward 5, Ikpoba-Okha LGA.
But the former NDDC commissioner kept his next political move a secret.
He said he intended to focus on his career and personal life.
“This is not a decision made out of anger or haste, but one rooted in deep reflection and a sincere desire to preserve my personal values and integrity.
“I sincerely thank the party leadership and all members of Ward 5, Ikpoba-Okha LGA,for their love and support over the years. I wish the PDP well in her future endeavours,” the letter read.
