Actor Yul Edochie’s former wife, May Edochie, has addressed the criticism she received from men after her divorce.

According to ZINGTIE, following Yul’s marriage to his colleague Judy Austin, May filed for divorce in 2023 on the grounds of infidelity.

May Edochie faced criticism after the incident from a number of guys who said she was pushing for a divorce.

But in response to the accusation  in an interview with comedian AY Makun on the Glasshouse podcast, she stated: “Some men see me as someone that is misleading their wives.

“I love family and marriage, but there is a misconception about marriage that is totally different, but ideally marriage is the basis of family. Because there would be no you or me without family. That is how it used to be.

“I’m not in any way advocating separation or divorce in any way. Let me categorically state it now that I’m not an advocate for divorce.”
