Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi, is set to visit Russia this week in preparation for the upcoming second round of nuclear discussions between Tehran and the United States.
The talks aim to address Iran’s long-standing nuclear conflict with the US.
This follows a meeting between Araqchi and US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, in Oman on Saturday, where both sides described the discussions as productive.
The second round of nuclear negotiations between Tehran and Washington will take place in Muscat, Oman, this Saturday, as reported by Iran’s state news agency IRNA, quoting Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei.
President Trump has already warned that if diplomatic efforts fail, Iran would face significant consequences and would be unable to develop a nuclear weapon.
