Israel’s Defense Minister, Israel Katz, issued a grave warning on Saturday, stating that Iran’s capital, Tehran, would face severe consequences if missile attacks against Israel persisted.
His remarks were delivered as hostilities between the two nations intensified, with both sides exchanging strikes for a second day in a row.
“The Iranian dictator is turning the citizens of Iran into hostages and bringing about a reality in which they, especially the residents of Tehran will pay a heavy price because of the criminal harm to Israeli civilians,” Katz said in a strongly worded message.
“If [Ayatollah Ali] Khamenei continues to fire missiles toward the Israeli home front, Tehran will burn,” he added.
This warning comes amid increasing cross-border violence that has sparked concerns about a potential escalation into a larger regional conflict.
Israeli authorities continue to accuse Iran of not only launching direct missile attacks but also providing backing to allied militias throughout the Middle East.
