Jigawa APC endorses Governor Umar Namadi as the only candidate for 2027 election

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Jigawa State chapter has formally backed Governor Umar Namadi as its only candidate for governor in the general elections scheduled for 2027.

The endorsement was made public at a “citizens engagement” program in the Guri Local Government Area, where stakeholders and high-ranking party leaders convened to evaluate the administration’s performance and solicit public opinion.

Hon. Faruk Adamu Aliyu, the APC leader and former House of Representatives Minority Leader, announced the unanimous decision during the event.

He urged party members to remain united in their support for Governor Namadi, noting that all APC members of the House of Representatives in attendance approved the resolution, citing their trust in the governor’s leadership and the developmental progress made under his administration.

“This endorsement reflects our collective satisfaction with the governor’s performance and the direction in which he is steering the state,” Aliyu said.

The action, which is largely regarded as a calculated attempt to ensure continuity in development planning and strengthen the party’s position, comes as political activities start to pick up steam ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to ZINGTIE, eight candidates ran in the APC’s 2023 governorship primary election.
