Musa Wada, a 45-year-old man who was detained in relation to the horrific murder of his student, claimed that he mangled him to try to hide his embarrassment.

After receiving a tip, the suspect—a Quranic teacher from Jikas-Dabaja village—was captured on March 13, 2025, according to a statement made by SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the Police Public Relations Officer.

According to preliminary investigations, Wada allegedly disciplined Bashir Adamu for his recurrent absences from school.

The youngster passed out during the punishment and died as a result.

Wada allegedly disfigured the body, cutting off the victim’s head and sexual organs before discarding the remains by the side of the road in an attempt to deceive the people.

The bits of his body that had been cut were subsequently buried on his farm.

When locals discovered a decaying, decapitated body left on the Jikas-Dabaja village road on March 12, 2025, they initially reported the horrifying find to the Gwaram Divisional Police Headquarters.

The victim was identified as one of Wada’s students after more inquiry.

Since then, the suspect has admitted to the crime and is still being held by the police.

The public was reassured by the state police command that the suspect would face charges in court after the inquiry was over.
