Jim Obazee concludes CBN probe, submits report to Tinubu

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s, or CBN, operations investigation by Jim Obazee has been formally closed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

ZINGTIE reports that Tinubu designated Obazee as a special investigator to look into the CBN and other connected organizations.

The letter announcing his appointment was sent on July 28, 2023.

On Friday, Tinubu thanked Obazee, a former CEO of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), for his work as the Special Investigator of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other related organizations following his appointment on July 28, 2023.

In handling the complexities of this crucial national task, the President appreciated Obazee’s dedication and expertise.

The investigation will be formally finished on March 31, 2024, following the completion of the assignment, submitting a final detailed report, and disassembly of all equipment utilized in the project.

At this time, every law enforcement and regulatory body that is pertinent is working to take additional action.
