In a heartwarming display of appreciation, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has announced a remarkable reward package for the players of Kwara United FC, following their groundbreaking triumph in the 2025 President Federation Cup. Each player will receive a staggering N5 million cash reward and a plot of land within the state.

“We believe in rewarding excellence and motivating our young people to strive for greatness,” Governor AbdulRazaq said, emphasizing the state government’s commitment to supporting sports development and encouraging excellence among athletes. “In recognition of your impressive performance and the honour you have brought to Kwara State, I am pleased to announce a reward of N5 million and one plot of land for each member of the team”

This generous gesture is a testament to the team’s dedication and perseverance, ending a 49-year wait for a major trophy since Alyufsalam Rocks reached the final in 1976. The team’s victory in the President Federation Cup final against Abakaliki FC, winning 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw, has earned them a spot in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, where they will proudly represent Nigeria on the continental stage.
