The All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government is allegedly draining the Labour Party (LP), according to Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Policy.
In response to queries on TVC on Wednesday, Bwala stated that LP members were departing for the APC.
Additionally, he predicted that Mr. Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, will eventually join the ruling APC.
Bwala said: “Do you know we are emptying the Labour Party? It’s not because we go and ask them to come; they are coming. Valentine Ozigbo has joined us. Balami has joined us. Even Peter Obi will join us.”
He went on to say that Obi would not run for president on the LP platform in 2027 and that whatever coalition he joined would be beset by internal strife.
Bwala asserts that a coalition of this kind would only require two weeks of media coverage before its members begin to quarrel over divergent goals.
“They are emptying the Labour Party, not because we go and ask them to come; they are coming,” Bwala reiterated.
