Lady calls off wedding three days before ceremony after fiancé refuses to contribute money

When a Nigerian woman revealed that she had called off her wedding three days prior to the planned date, it caused a stir on social media.

The woman said in a post under the Twitter (X) handle @TheOnlyKemi that her fiancé had declined to pay for their wedding planning. She said that she had been paying for everything, while her fiancé said that his funds were in a fixed deposit account. He did not provide her with immediate financial support, but he did pledge to reimburse her eventually.

She shared in her tweet:

“Just called off my wedding because of my fiancé’s nonchalant attitude. This guy hasn’t dropped one penny, and the wedding is in 3 days. He keeps saying his money is in fixed deposit and that he will refund me. Spoke to a counselor and decided to call it off.”

Finally, she asked herself if she had made the correct choice.
