Safe Na’andak Pankyes, a Nigerian woman, is said to have died during childbirth after predicting her demise.
Before she passed away, the Plateau State native left a number of strange notes on her profile page in September 2024.
On March 30, 2024, Safe and Pankyes Galak were joined in marriage.
A meaningful Facebook post she published months prior to her death has added to the outpouring of grief following her tragic demise.
In the September 4, 2024, article, Safe encouraged people to show their love and gratitude for her now rather than waiting till she passed away.
She thought about how people frequently pass up chances to help and encourage others in life but step forward after they’ve passed away.
“A day will come when my pictures will flood social media with RIP tags. Both those I’ve impacted directly and indirectly will shed natural and artificial tears, yet I will be buried alone in the dark, breathless,” she wrote.
“People who had the opportunity to help and show love but didn’t will suddenly come together to plan a burial ceremony for me. Please, celebrate me now that I’m alive, because when I’m gone, I won’t be here to see all that you will do. Thank you once again.”
On Sunday, February 23, 2025, family and friends posted on Facebook to confirm her death, expressing their sorrow for a life lost too young.
Although it hasn’t been formally verified, a Facebook user confirmed that she had passed away during childbirth.
