Lady demands husband must cook, clean, be submissive and take her surname

After detailing several requirements her future husband must fulfill, such as adopting her last name after marriage, being obedient, and managing domestic duties, a Nigerian woman has provoked internet controversy.

She listed her stringent prerequisites in a post that was uploaded on her page on X (previously Twitter), stressing that she would think about getting a divorce if her husband ever lost his temper while they were married.

She also says that the perfect man should be a virgin, not retort, and give her his whole paycheck.

Her entire statement was as follows:

“Things I want in my man:”

• Must be a virgin
• Must be submissive
• Must not talk back
• Must cook and clean
• Must dress modestly
• Must take my surname after marriage
• If he loses his figure, Divorce!
• Must submit his salary to me.
