Sevilla’s sporting director, Victor Orta, has expressed that Jerome Adams has simply been unfortunate with injuries but remains confident that the forward will contribute positively to the team.
Adams made the move to the LaLiga side from French club Montpellier during the January transfer window.
Since joining, the 24-year-old has sustained two separate muscle injuries.
These fitness issues have restricted the former Flying Eagles forward to only four league games with the Rojiblancos.
Still, Orta firmly believes that Adams has the potential to become an important asset for the club.
“Due to two muscle injuries when he (Adams) has never been injured. What Akor has suffered has been unfortunate, but we will study why these injuries occurred. We have a lot of confidence in him,” he told the club’s official website.
