LAPO Microfinance Bank has been recognized as “Microfinance Bank of the Year” and “Best Microfinance Bank in Support of MSMEs” at the recent Industry Awards. These accolades underscore the bank’s dedication to supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and promoting financial inclusion in Nigeria.

The awards acknowledge LAPO’s efforts in developing tailored financial products and services for entrepreneurs, expanding its offerings to improve financial stability and growth for MSMEs nationwide. According to Mr Oluremi Akande, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, “These recognitions are a testament to our deep-rooted commitment to serving the underserved. With a strong presence across the country, LAPO operates 536 branches, employs 7,024 staff, and serves over 6.4 million clients. The bank’s impressive financials include a loan portfolio of ₦106.2 billion, a deposit balance of ₦59.2 billion, and over ₦1 trillion in loan disbursements, with total assets exceeding ₦124 billion.
