OGC Nice head coach Franck Haise is optimistic that Terem Moffi can play a key role in the club’s push for a UEFA Champions League spot.
Moffi made his return to action for Les Aiglons in the recent Ligue 1 match against AS Monaco, after being sidelined for over eight months due to a cruciate ligament injury.
The 25-year-old forward came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute of the match.
Nice is currently in fourth place on the league table with 47 points from 27 games, and Haise believes that Moffi’s presence could make a significant impact as they aim for a European qualification spot.
“Terem made a dynamic entry. It’s going to be important for our end of season, we’re going to need to show something other than what we showed tonight,” he was quoted by the club’s official website.
“Monaco were superior to us, and first of all there’s the quality of the opponent, but we were so far from the mark that I’m just waiting for us to show our true colors against Nantes on Friday. “
