Man arrested for stabbing 25-year-old over N14,000 debt

Ondo Police Command officers have detained a middle-aged man on suspicion of fatally stabbing a 25-year-old man during a fight.

Olayinka Ayanlade, the state’s police public relations officer, claims that the deceased Fisayo Ajetumobi was attacked with a knife by the suspect, Wale Ibrahim.

Akinsola Lukman reported the incident to the police after it occurred at a construction site along Litaye Camp via Lake Road, Ondo, according to Ayanlade.

He said: “An altercation ensued between the duo of Wale and Gabriel, during which the suspect, Wale Ibrahim, became violent and stabbed one Fisayo Ajetumobi ‘m’, aged 25 years, on the chest with a knife.“

“Sadly, the victim sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot as a result of this unwarranted act of violence. The suspect was promptly arrested by the police, and after diligent investigation.“
