Man deported as wife reports him to US embassy for abandoning her and their 3 kids

In a startling turn of events, a lady has described how she made sure her estranged husband was deported from the US after he left her and their three kids behind.

Her battle to support her family while dealing with her husband’s treachery is highlighted in the article, which has generated conflicting responses on social media.

The mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, claimed that she and their three children were left behind when her husband left Ghana to pursue studies in the United States for two years.

She initially supported his choice, understanding that he would prioritise his education over financial support.

She assumed full responsibility for parenting their kids in the hopes that things would get better after he finished his education and began working.

Her husband decided to continue working in the United States after two years. His contributions gradually decreased to minimal amounts after he initially sent money intermittently.

He made excuses when people tried to contact him for help, and soon he stopped talking at all.

The woman was worried about his actions and made the decision to go to his hometown to see his relatives in the hopes of learning more.

She was shocked to learn that a house was being built in his family’s compound. She had a suspicion that he was funding the project covertly while ignoring his obligations to her and their kids.

She challenged his relatives, but she didn’t get a sufficient response.

When she got home, she sent him a thorough message explaining their predicament and begging for help. His reaction was disastrous.

He told her that he had moved on, urged her to get married again, and offered to send their kids to live with his mother if she felt overburdened.

Desperate and feeling deceived, the woman made the decision to act. She went to the U.S. Embassy in Ghana with all the documentation of their marriage, including their marriage licence, wedding pictures and birth certificates for the children.

She disclosed that her husband had lied about being childless and unmarried when he applied for a visa, and she claimed that he had left his family behind. Additionally, it was found that he was staying in the United States without the required papers and had overstayed his visa.

Her husband was deported back to Ghana after the embassy took prompt action. The marriage was formally terminated when he returned and the woman’s family returned the bride fee to his family.

Her in-laws referred to her as a “witch” and a “evil woman” in spite of her firm action, saying their son has been having a hard time adjusting since his expulsion. But she doesn’t care about their judgement; instead, she concentrates on raising her kids with her brothers’ help.

“By God’s grace, we are soaring,” she said in her statement.

Debate has surrounded her account; some have praised her for defending herself and her kids, while others have chastised her for taking such extreme actions.

However, it draws attention to the difficulties that many women encounter when they are left to support their families alone and the extent to which they will go in order to safeguard their children’s future.
