Man dressed as woman arrested in Adamawa church

In Adamawa State, a guy who was dressed as a woman was arrested at a church.

Mohammed Umar, a 19-year-old guy who lives on Abuja Road in the Yola South LGA, was discovered idly wandering around the premises of the LCCN Church in Ngurore.

The man is currently in the custody of the Adamawa State Police Command, which reported that he was observed “wearing clothing that is typically associated with an opposite sex (women).”

Following a tip from a Sunday Andrawus, the police claimed in a press statement issued by police image maker Suleiman Nguroje that the individual was taken into custody on Monday, May 18, 2025.

Sunday, Ngurore stated After witnessing the suspect’s movements within the church’s grounds, Andrawus reported the individual to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters.

“The Commissioner of Police Adamawa state Command, CP Dankombo Morris, has directed the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yola, for discreet and full scale investigation,” Nguroje stated.
