May Edochie has responded to circulating reports claiming she issued an apology to her estranged husband, Yul Edochie, amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The speculation began after a letter surfaced online, allegedly written by May to reconcile with Yul. However, in a statement shared on Facebook by her legal representative, Emeka Ugwuonye, May dismissed the letter as fake.
According to the post, the widely circulated message was described as “a desperate attempt to create a narrative when other efforts have failed.”
“May did NOT issue any apology. It was Yul who chose polygamy, and previously apologized. However, such apology would not alter the current legal situation.
“Please disregard false claims that are being circulated. There has been no apology from May. She’s continuing to pursue the divorce proceedings and damages related to adultery.”
May filed for divorce in 2023, following Yul’s public announcement of actress Judy Austin as his second wife in April 2022.
As part of her legal claims, May is seeking N100 million in damages from Judy, citing adultery as the basis for the suit.
