Mikel on Osimhen’s move to Chelsea

Chelsea legend John Mikel Obi believes Victor Osimhen still has the chance to make a dream move to Premier League giants Chelsea.

Osimhen was on the verge of joining the Blues last summer, but the West London club was unable to finalize the transfer.

The 26-year-old forward instead made a move to Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray on loan from Napoli.

With Chelsea still struggling in the attacking department, Mikel expressed that the striker could potentially join the club at the end of the season.

“Chelsea has always been his club. He has come out open to say it’s his childhood club, growing up, he’s always wanted to play for the club,’” he said on Obione podcast

“His idol is Didier Drogba. He loves the way he played. He made it pretty clear that this is a club he wants to come to. Unfortunately, we didn’t get it done last summer, but listen, you never know, I don’t think the door is shut completely.”
