One model has talked about her harrowing hotel experience.

In a TikTok video, Thai resident Natalisi Taksisi revealed why she chose Japan as her vacation destination: she believed it to be a “very safe country.”

She claimed that at first glance, the APA Hotel & Resort in Tokyo seemed like the perfect place to stay.

“The place looked legit, and I had a key card which gave me access to the hotel and my room,” explained Taksisi. “The first day, everything was fine.”

On the second day, when the content creator went back to the hotel to sleep “after a day of sightseeing,” she recounted, everything went wrong.

“I came back around 7:30 p.m., unlocked my room like usual, took off my clothes, and lay down on the bed,” said Taksisi.

She became aware of a “weird smell” at that point.

“At first I thought it was coming from my hair or the bed sheets, but then I realized it was coming from under the bed.”

She claimed that in an attempt to locate the source of the stink, she bent over.

Taksisi “saw a pair of eyes” staring back at her when she looked beneath the bed.

“I saw a man under my bed, and I started to scream and jumped to my feet,” the startled traveler said.

“The man climbed out from under the bed and stared at me for three seconds.”

She added, “Those seconds felt like my life was over.”

The intruder then “screamed” and hurried out of the room.

Taksisi called out to the hotel staff, who informed the police about her unexpected bedfellow, in horror.

According to Jam Press, authorities found a USB cable and a power bank under the bed, but hotel employees had no idea how he got in.

“I kept asking the hotel, ‘How did it happen?’ and they didn’t have any answer for me,” she lamented.

To make matters worse, hotel staff said that because there were no CCTV cameras inside the property, they would have a hard time finding the culprit.

The resort squatter has not yet been identified by the police.

The influencer reserved a separate hotel for the same night because she was so horrified by the intrusion.

The hotel allegedly refused to provide her with any compensation at the time, despite her request for a return of the more than $600 she had spent for three nights.

Agoda, the website she used to book the hotel, allegedly offered her $178 in vouchers when she contacted them; Taksisi called this sum “ridiculous.”

Fed up, the model called the hotel personally, demanding reimbursement, whereupon they agreed to compensate her in full.

Taksisi recalled that the next three days of the trip were a “nightmare,” recalling, “I couldn’t sleep, and I was constantly on edge, checking every corner of my room.”

“I’m left wondering how someone could get into my room, how someone knew that I was alone in my room,” she said. “And how can the hotel not take responsibility for such a severe breach of safety?”

In addition to encouraging the hotel to “take real action,” Taksisi hopes her traumatic experience will make other travelers aware of the risks that can arise even in a safe country.
