The House Ethic Committee has been asked to look into the assault on a taxi driver by legislator Alex Ikwechegh, who was seen on tape.

Julius Ihonvbere, the majority leader, brought up a point of order on Tuesday, and the resolution followed suit.

The politician was seen attacking Bolt rider Stephen Abuwatseya in a social media video that went viral.

The politician vowed to make the driver of the Bolt vanish.

His behaviour has been met with great opposition, though, as many people—including the Ohanaeze Ndigbo—have denounced his behaviour.

Peers in the House are now scrutinizing Ikwechegh closely.

If he is charged following the investigation, he can potentially be suspended.
