The world’s most aggressive football teams have been disclosed.
On Wednesday, the CIES Football Observatory revealed its selection of the season’s most attacking teams to date.
In the list, Bayern Munich, who are the champions of the German Bundesliga, occupy the top position.
In second place, behind Bayern Munich, are the champions of Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona ranks third, Bayer Leverkusen is in fourth, and Olympique de Marseille sits at tenth overall.
Columbus Crew (5th overall) ranked above Denmark’s Nordsjaelland (7th) and AS Saint-Étienne (8th) among teams from leagues outside of Europe’s top five.
It is said that the ranking relies on four metrics: the percentage of passes received below the knee (on the ground) in the opponent’s offensive third, passing distance (shorter is preferable), passing rhythm during possession, and duration of possession.
