‘My man avoids me since it happened to me’

Please publish this under anonymity. I am 22 years old, and the man I am dating is 34 years old. We are parents of a 3-year-old girl. My issue is that my partner has been avoiding me ever since I became pregnant, saying I’m too busy at work, and has left me to live with my parents.

Despite his financial stability, he did not send me anything during my pregnancy. He began giving me money in the ninth month and visited my parents to announce his intention to marry me and take care of both of us.

When I ask for something, he rarely gives it to me and usually comes up with a reason not to. I’ve urged him multiple times to go out and get work, but he keeps saying he has a project for me and isn’t in the nation right now.

My parents still reside with me. I’ve been living with my parents for about three years, but every time I bring up the topic of leaving for work, he gets upset and says I don’t want their aid.

His cousins are the ones who know me; I don’t know his parents. Whether or not to trust him and find my own way while there’s still time is my dilemma.
