In the ongoing murder trial of Salome Adaidu, a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who was allegedly murdered by musician Oluwatimileyin Daniel Ajayi, age 32, the Nasarawa State High Court in Lafia has allowed seven more exhibits.
Raymond Umaru, the prosecution’s attorney, presented a police officer as a new witness in the case during Tuesday’s resumed hearing, and Justice Simon Aboki accepted the new exhibits.
The officer provided important pieces of evidence, including a mobile phone used to record six polythene bags holding the dismembered remains of the deceased, as well as her severed head—items apparently recovered in the defendant’s bathroom and bedroom.
In order to give the witness time to play the recorded video evidence in front of the court, Justice Aboki adjourned the session until noon after reviewing the exhibits.
Four witnesses have been called by the prosecution thus far, as disturbing information about the well-known case keeps coming to light.
