Before the Nigerian Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff matchup with the Democratic Republic of the Congo on Sunday, South African Football Association President Danny Jordaan gave them his best wishes.
As the Super Eagles are ready to play DR Congo at the Moulay Hassan Stadium in Morocco, Jordaan wished the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), especially former NFF president Amaju Pinnick, whom he called a friend, the best.
After defeating Gabon and Cameroon, respectively, Nigeria and DR Congo secured their spots in the playoff final.
Jordaan stated in a video that the federation shared on social media: “Nigeria was in our group. It was a very tight group and stressed in the end.
“So, I want to wish Nigeria all the best for their match. To Pinnick, my friend, and to all, the President of the NFF, all the best.
“Nigeria is a big team. Nigeria has got players among the best in the world, and I hope they’ll play through to their form and ability and deliver the result.”
