Nigerian Army opens online application for 29/2026 Direct Short Service Commission course

The Nigerian Army has announced the opening of applications for the 29/2026 Direct Short Service Commission, DSSC, for eligible Nigerians.

According to a statement issued by Army Headquarters on Tuesday via its official Facebook page, the DSSC is available to both civilians and serving military personnel seeking commission as officers in chosen corps of the Nigerian Army.

There are five corps available: Nigerian Army Engineers, Nigerian Army Signals, Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Nigerian Army Education Corps.

The Army noted that the application procedure will be free and conducted online from January 7 to February 4, 2026.

Interested applicants may visit the official recruiting portal, www.recruitment.army.mil.ng, for more information and application procedures.

The Nigerian Army stated that applicants can contact 08179269294 or 08109959294 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. daily.
