Nigeria’s representative at the 2024 Mister International contest, Nwajagu Samuel, made history by becoming the first Nigerian and African to win the title and claiming the prestigious crown.
On December 14, 2024, the 16th edition of the international competition was held at Bangkok, Thailand’s Fashion Island’s Island Hall. Forty-seven competitors from all around the world competed for the coveted title.
A major turning point for Nigeria and the African continent as a whole was reached when Samuel was crowned by Kim Thitisan Goodburn, the departing Mister International from Thailand, at the end of the glitzy event.
Since Samuel’s accomplishment demonstrates the increasing recognition of African talent on the global stage, the victory has caused enormous celebrations throughout Nigeria and throughout the African pageant community.
It is anticipated that this momentous victory will encourage a new generation of young African males to seek careers in modelling and international pageantry.
