As the landing cost of gasoline continued to fall below the ex-depot price of Dangote Refinery, Nigerian filling stations have lowered the price of premium motor spirit.

ZINGTIE reporters reported on Wednesday that NIPCO, AA Rano, Eterna, and Empire Energy filling stations in Abuja have cut their gasoline pump prices.

AA Rano and NIPCO lowered their fuel prices from N950 to N955 per litre to N940.

In a similar vein, retail locations for Eterna and Empire Energy dispense at N945 and 955 from N955 and N959, respectively.

This means that filling stations in Abuja have reduced their petrol pump prices by N4 to N10 per litre.

As previously reported by ZINGTIE, NNPCL retail locations in Abuja reduced their pump prices from N955 to N945 per litre.

Meanwhile, at other filling stations, like MRS (Dangote Petrol) and Ranoil, retail petrol prices have remained steady at N950 and N955 per litre, respectively, as of Thursday morning.

“We may reduce our price in the evening or so, but at the moment we still dispense fuel at N950 per litre,” an MRS fueling station manager in Abuja told ZINGTIE in anonymity.

This occurs a few days after the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria released data on energy prices on November 3, 2025, which revealed that the landing cost of gasoline had decreased by N827.04 per litre.

This represents a decrease from N829.77 at the conclusion of the previous month.

Dangote Refinery was at N872, Pinnacle was at N872, NIPCO was at N870, BOVAS was at N870, Aiteo was at N870, and AA Rano was at N870, according to checks on petrol ex-depot prices.

Additionally, the landing price of N827.04 per litre is N44.96 less than the ex-depot price of N872 per litre at Dangote Refinery.

In order to support Dangote Refinery, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently declared that he has approved a 15% import charge tax on gasoline and fuel.

The decision made by stakeholders and marketers affirmed that when it is put into effect in the next few days, the cost of imported fuel will rise.
