Nigerian Police officer kills his father who retired as ASP in Maiduguri

Sunday Wadzani, a Nigerian Police Force Sergeant, assassinated his father, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) who had retired.

Expert in counterterrorism and insurgency in the Lake Chad Basin, Zagazola Makama, revealed this in a post on his X account on Monday.

According to Makama, the incident happened on Sunday in Modugannari, Maiduguri, behind the Borno State Police Headquarters.

He said: “A police officer with the rank of Sergeant, named Sunday Wadzani, has shot and killed his father, who was also a retired police officer with the rank of ASP.

“The incident occurred behind the Borno State Police Headquarters located in Modugannari, on Sunday, in Maiduguri.”

At the time of reporting the report, the Borno State Police Command had not confirmed the event.
