Tems, Burna Boy, and Wizkid are Nigerian musicians that have received nominations for the 2025 NAACP Awards.

Actress Ayo Edebiri is among the other Nigerian celebrities honored at this year’s ceremony.

The Pasadena Civic Center in California will host the 56th NAACP Awards ceremony on February 22.

Wizkid received nominations for two awards, including Outstanding Duo or Collaboration and Outstanding International Song, for his song “Piece of My Heart,” which featured Brent Faiyaz.

Usher and Burna Boy’s song “Coming Home” earned them a nomination for Best Collaboration. However, Tems’ song “Love Me JeJe” earned her a nomination in the “Outstanding International Song” category.

Among the five categories for which actress Ayo Edebiri received nominations were Outstanding Voiceover and Outstanding Actress in Comedy Series.

Tyla, a singer from South Africa, is a candidate for Outstanding New Artist.
