Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of the Portuguese national team, has confirmed that he will continue his journey with Al Nassr.
Speaking after Portugal’s Nations League final triumph over Spain, Ronaldo stated: “nothing is gonna change,” signaling his intent to remain with the Saudi Arabian club.
Renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano shared the update on X on Monday, noting that the 40-year-old star is now prepared to extend his commitment to the Saudi Pro League team.
Romano posted: “Cristiano Ronaldo confirms plan to stay at Al Nassr by signing a new deal.
‘My future? Basically, nothing is gonna change. Staying at Al Nassr? Yea.”
Ronaldo’s future had recently been the subject of speculation, as his current deal was set to expire at the end of June, and talks over a new contract had yet to progress.
The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient initially joined Al Nassr in December 2022, following the mutual termination of his contract with Manchester United.
His move to Saudi Arabia significantly elevated the global profile of the league and sparked a surge in marquee player signings across the region.
