Ozoemena Ani will be unavailable for Enyimba’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 33 fixture against Sunshine Stars due to injury.

The goalkeeper was forced to leave the field during Enyimba’s last match against Abia Warriors in Aba over the weekend.

Technical Adviser Stanley Eguma confirmed that although Ani has returned to training, he is not yet fit to play in the upcoming match.

“Ani has returned to training, but he won’t be part of the team that will play Sunshine Stars on Sunday in Ijebu Ode,” Eguma told Completesports.

“Yes, he has recovered and resumed training. I don’t want to rush him. I want to give him time to regain full fitness before he starts keeping in matches.”

Enyimba has won just two of their last five matches, while Sunshine Stars are without a win in their last five.

Eguma’s team is currently in 8th place on the league table with 46 points, while Sunshine Stars are in 19th place with 35 points.
