Finidi George, the new head coach of Rivers United, will be introduced on Thursday.
The 54-year-old is expected to take over as the team’s next manager after Stanley Eguma was fired near the end of the last season, according to ZINGTIE.
The unveiling ceremony will take place in the Port Harcourt secretariat of Rivers United.
A few weeks after resigning as head coach of the Super Eagles, Finidi is back in the dugout.
Before going on to coach the Super Eagles, the former Ajax winger spent three years as the manager of Enyimba, the nine-time NPFL champions.
Enyimba’s 2022–2023 title win was orchestrated by Finidi.
Last season, Rivers United placed an unsatisfactory seventh in the NPFL.
