NSA reveals how Binance Manager escaped from Nigeria

The escape of Nadeem Anjarwalla, the Regional Manager for Africa at Binance, has been verified by the Office of the National Security Advisers, ONSA.

Anjarwalla, Binance’s Africa Regional Manager, escaped from detention on March 22, 2024, from a guest house in Abuja, where he and his colleague Tigran Gambaryan were detained for alleged tax evasion. ZINGTIE reports this.

Anjarwalla allegedly left Nigeria using a smuggled passport, according to a statement issued by ONSA’s head of strategic communication, Zakari Mijinyawa.”

According to Mijinyawa, an investigation has started, and the staff in charge of the suspect’s care has been taken into custody.

“A preliminary investigation reveals that Mr. Anjarwalla used a smuggled passport to flee Nigeria.”

“The personnel responsible for the custody of the suspect have been arrested, and a thorough investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances that led to his escape from lawful detention,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, in response to the news, Binance stated that its Manager’s safety is still its first priority.

The company emphasized that it is collaborating with Nigerian authorities to find a solution.
