LaLiga has declined Real Madrid’s appeal to delay their opening match against Osasuna in the upcoming 2025/26 season, as reported by Carrusel Deportivo.
Real Madrid officially sought to postpone their first league fixture of the new season. However, the club, Osasuna, and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have all agreed to reschedule the game for October 29.
Previously, LaLiga unveiled the fixture list for the 2025/26 campaign, confirming that Xabi Alonso’s team will face Osasuna in the opening match at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The fixture is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
The new season will kick off on Friday, August 15, 2025, and is set to conclude on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
