The Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, posted a humorous and endearing account on social media on Sunday, October 26, 2025, about going for a walk outside her house with her enormous pet tortoise, Punch.

The Minister recounted how she chose to take Punch for a stroll in the yard and went beyond her gates when a bystander, taken aback by the scene, responded with laughter.

She clarified that Punch, who is more than 90 years old, was brought into Nigeria prior to its independence.

Her humorous and sentimental message immediately won praise from her fans, many of whom were astounded by the tortoise’s age and unusual past.

Known for her grace and lively demeanor, Ambassador Ojukwu frequently gives her supporters tidbits about her background, hobbies, and personal life outside of politics.
