PHOTOS: Woman carries empty pot to #EndBadGovernance protest in Lagos

During the #EndBadGovernance protest on Kudirat Abiola Way in Ikeja, Lagos, a woman was observed carrying an empty pot.

Lots of people attended the protest, which is a part of a larger movement throughout Nigeria, to express their displeasure with the state of the economy and governmental policies.

Many demonstrators who are dealing with high unemployment, inflation, and unstable economic conditions found solace in the woman’s empty pot, a powerful image of hunger and adversity.

People around the nation have been demanding improved accountability and governance from their leaders in a number of demonstrations, including the one in Lagos.

The #EndBadGovernance demonstrations have gathered steam in recent days, with participants demanding extensive changes as well as an end to mismanagement and corruption.

The woman’s quiet yet impactful speech sums up the terrible circumstances that many Nigerians are in, amplifying the voices of those struggling to make ends meet.
