Player of the Month: NWFL unveils 5 nominees for December

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Player of the Month Award for December 2023 has been nominated for players on the Rivers Angels, Abia Angels, Confluence Queens, and Robo Queens.

Blessing Okpe, Nikiru Nwauke, Sylvia Echefu, and Folasade Ijamilusi are the athletes who have been nominated.

In the Robo Queens’ triumph over Bayelsa Queens in Lagos, Ijamilusi scored her sixth goal of the year.

For Confluence Queens in the league, Echefu has over five clean sheets to his credit.

Nwauke’s strong defense-oriented performance has established her as a vital member of the Abia Angels squad.

She has received two nominations for the same award this season.

Little Okpe was essential to Rivers Angels’ ascent to the second spot in the standings.

Later this week, the award winner will be revealed.

After the two-week holiday break, the NWFL will resume the following week.
