Reaction as May Edochie releases debut song Komole

The estranged wife of actor Yul Edochie, May Edochie, is beginning 2025 in a novel way by entering the cutthroat Nigerian music scene.

May decided to surprise her fans and followers with her most recent endeavour during the global New Year’s celebrations.

The influencer, who won an award in 2024 over competitors like Tacha and Brain Jotter, has released her first single, ‘Komole,’ starring a buddy named Nwando.

‘Komole,’ a Yoruba word meaning to bend down, is a soul-lifting song, according to May.

She went on to say that the song was an expression of gratitude to God for allowing her and her followers to experience the close of 2024 and the start of a new year.

May Edochie posted the new song’s cover to her social media timeline with the following caption:

“The big surprise is here. KOMOLE by QUEEN MAY & NWANDO. I’m thrilled to share with you all, this amazing soul lifting song OUT today on all platforms. Kindly click link in BIO to enjoy this beautiful piece. It’s time to bend down (KOMOLE) and dance in appreciation to GOD for seeing us through 2024 and ushering us all into the new year.”

As demonstrated by her foray into the music business, May Edochie is a “Jack of all trades, master of all.” This comes after she made her Nollywood debut in 2023, appearing in films such as The Waiter by comedian Ayo Makun and Wives On Strike by Omoni Oboli.

Just a few hours after receiving a new residence in Abuja, May releases a new single.
