The songs that former US President Barack Obama liked best in 2024 include two Nigerian musicians, Rema and Asake.

On Saturday, the former US president shared his list of 2024 favourites, and Rema’s “Yayo” and Asake’s “Active,” which features Travis Scott, were included.

Another African musician, Tyla of South Africa, also made the list with ‘Jump’ starring Gunna and Skillibeng.

Nigerian-American musicians, Shaboozey and Jordan Adetunji were on the list with ‘A Bar Song’ and ‘Kehlani.’

Each of the usual suspects, including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, and Karol G, contributed a song.

Sharing his list via X, Obama wrote, “Here are my favorite songs from this year! Check them out if you’re looking to shake up your playlist – and let me know if there’s a song or artist I should make sure to listen to.”
