The Rivers Grassroot Movement (RGM) has sent heartfelt birthday wishes to Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State, praising his leadership approach and the progress he has fostered throughout the state.

On Tuesday, the movement released a statement congratulating Governor Fubara and signed by its National Leader, High Chief Hon. Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich (Egberipapa). The statement characterized Fubara’s administration as people-centred and impactful, based on the motto “Rivers People First.”

The group claims that the governor’s leadership has produced what it calls “unparalleled dividends of democracy” in essential sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and agriculture, with tangible projects located throughout the state’s 23 local government areas.

“Your remarkable developmental footprint stands bold and transformative in all 23 local government areas, positively impacting the lives of every Rivers indigene and resident,” the statement said.

The Movement commended Governor Fubara for his steadfastness amid political challenges, highlighting that he has maintained his focus on governance and service delivery despite what it termed an “intense political rivalry orchestrated by enemies of the state.”

“You have remained resolute and focused, a quality that marks you as a grounded public administrator and an astute public servant par excellence,” the group stated, adding that the governor has emerged as “an icon of hope and inspiration to Rivers people.”

The group also prayed for the governor, requesting that God provide him with renewed strength, wisdom, and good health to carry on with his mandate. It also prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and unity in Rivers State during his leadership.

In the statement, he was also wished a long life and ongoing service to the state’s citizens, with the group reiterating its respect and admiration for the governor.

“Happy Birthday, Your Excellency. Long may you live to serve Rivers State,” the statement read.
