Sim Fubara, the suspended governor of Rivers State, has disassociated himself from the 2027 election campaign materials.

According to Fubara, he never gave his approval for campaign shirts and caps to be made for the 2027 election.

The suspended governor stated that he wanted peace in order to develop while addressing his supporters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Saturday.

His remarks follow President Bola Tinubu’s resolution of Rivers State’s political problem.

Fubara was suspended for six months as a result of his political dispute with the Federal Capital Territory’s minister.

Additionally, Tinubu proclaimed a state of emergency.

But last week, at a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the president ended the problem.

According to Fubara: “I was pissed off. Someone forwarded to me a video showing where they were producing campaign materials—caps and shirts—for the 2027 general elections.

“I am not aware of it, and I did not authorise or send anyone. Every one of us should understand that we have done our best, and what we need now is this peace for us to grow.”
