Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara allegedly intends to organise 20 individuals per unit to launch an assault on the state’s just sworn-in local government chairmen.
But Fubara pushed them to take a calculated approach.
As he was swearing in the recently elected local government chairmen in Rivers State’s capital, Port Harcourt, yesterday, he made speeches.
Twenty-two of the chairmen ran on the Action Alliance platform, while one was from the Action Peoples Party.
“I understand that there are plans to mobilise twenty individuals per unit to confront you upon your return to your local government headquarters,” Fubara stated.
Fubara said: “I’m aware that there are plans to mobilise 20 people per unit to confront you when you return to your local government headquarters.
“If they come with violence, avoid them. The peace of this state is too important to us. Everyone knows what they are planning, but I urge you to follow my approach.
“At the right time, you will always win if you are patient and calculative. We have made our promises to our people, and we are committed to leading them to the Promised Land.”
