Rivers LG polls: How APP won the 22 chairmanship seats

The Action Peoples Party (APP) won 22 of the 23 chairmanships in the Rivers State local government elections that were just finished.

The results were declared on Saturday in Port Harcourt by retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli, the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, or RSIEC, according to Channels Television.

Enebeli stated that because the results are still being tallied, the announcement for Etche Local Government Area has been postponed.

He also mentioned that the results for the 319 council seats and the Etche LGA would be announced later.
