Isma’il Dahiru Ajingi was re-arraigned by the Kano State Government on a charge of culpable homicide in violation of Section 221 of the Penal Code before the State High Court at the Audu Bako Secretariat, presided over by Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu.
The police officer who conducted the investigation, ASP Abdullahi Sajo, was called as a witness by state prosecutor Barrister Lamido Abba Soran Dinki. After providing thorough testimony in court, the witness was subsequently released.
Following the hearings, the judge scheduled the trial’s continuation for January 27, 2026.
The defendant is charged with killing his father by stabbing him during a fight on their onion farm over the father’s alleged refusal to let him marry another woman.
The incident took place in the village of Unguwar Bai in the Ajingi Local Government Area on April 22, 2024.
