At least seven teams remain in contention for a spot in the Championship play-offs.
On Monday, Leeds United and Burnley both confirmed their return to the Premier League after securing crucial victories.
Joel Piroe netted four goals as Leeds cruised to a dominant 6-0 win over Stoke City, while Burnley clinched a 2-1 victory against Sheffield United in the evening fixture.
Sheffield United had entered the match at Turf Moor with hopes of keeping their automatic promotion chances alive and delaying celebrations for Leeds and Burnley.
However, the Blades are now set to compete in the play-offs, having earned 86 points from 44 games this season.
Based on the current standings, they are likely to face Coventry City in the semi-finals, while Sunderland could go up against Bristol City for a place in the final.
Still, with only six points separating Coventry in sixth and West Brom in tenth, several teams remain in the hunt to break into the play-off spots.
